Bronze and aluminum Is molted in a coke fired crucible for casting, giving this plant the most varied foundry, work in the city in addition to Its other unusual qualifications.Many, of the pleasure craft on the Great Bakes have brass fittings cast at the Klotz Co. here and are steered by means of rudders made in the same plant. Aluminum castings are also used on boats to a large extent and in any other machinery where lightness In weight is a major consideration.The one machine that has carried the company fame around the world, more than any other ®is its cxitlery equipment. These machines for the making of table and kitchen knives are in use in nearly every country on the globe and are very popular in England.
