Philippi of Yatesboro celebrated, their 50th wedding anniversary by being remarried at St. James Church, Trenton, N. J, Officiating si the Mass were Father Pinci and Father Rcceo, Music was played by Father Ammond who presented tlie couple with rosaries blessed by Pope Paul. Attending the couple were Mr. and Mrs. JosephPlazarin of Trenton.After the Mass an anniversary dinner in. honor of die couple was held at the home of their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Geno (Alma) Saline-strelli. The dinner was also attended by Mr. and Mrs, Joba (Pearl) Burbank and family of Rockport, Mass.; Mr. and Mrs, Severlno Philippi and family of Bristol and the Joseph Plazarin family.The couple visited several days with relatives and friends in the Trenton area before going to Rockport, Mass. where they toured historic spots and Cape Ann.When they returned home, theCatholic Daughters of America of which Mrs. Philippi is a charter member, had Mass in honor of the couple. Rev. N. A. Mitofo officiated in tire Mass at St, Mary’s Catholic Church, Yatesboro. Hie church choir, directed by Miss Marianna Colon-na of Kittanning, sang. Miss Jeannette Colonna was organist for the occasion,Mrs. Philippi was presented with an orchid corsage while her husband was given a carnation boutonniere. Golden mums and gladioli decorated the church altar.Open house was held at the couple’s home along with a dinner prepared by Mrs. FrankPellegrini, sister of Mrs. Philippi. She was assisted by Mrs. Lee Philippi and Mrs. Thomas Plazarin.Present for the dinner were Mrs. August Passerini of Yates-boro, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Calza of Sharpsville, Mr. and, Mrs. James V. Colonna and James of Kittanning, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Plazarin and family, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Pellegrini, Mrs, Teresa Plazarin, mother of Mrs. Philippi and the Lee Philippi family of Rural Valley.A wedding cake for the occasion was baked by Mrs. Thomas Plazarin. Photographs of the original wedding party were taken by Mrs. Mable Passerini.Mrs, August Passerini and Jerry Calza attended the Philip-pis when they were married at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Yatesboro, in 1915 by De. Father Kocco Maturo. The couple have five living children, 16 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.Another dinner for the couple was given by die C.D. of A. in the church basement.
