Friends, relatives gather to help Pensyls celebrate 50th yearMR. and MRS. DANIEL PENSYLDaniel and Sherwyn Pensyl of 618 Watson St., Bedford, were honored Nov. 2 at a 50th wedding anniversary celebration, held at Clara’s Place and attended by more than 60 relatives and friends.The Pensyls were united in marriage June 8, 1952, by the Rev. Ganner in the Reform church, now the United Church of Christ in Bedford.Daniel is retired from. Pensyl’s Amoco Truck Stop, and Sherwyn is a retired nurse.The couple has six children: Pamela Finke, wife of Ryan Finke, of West Virginia; Martha Plummer of Virginia; 'William Pensyl of Virginia; Danette Thomas of West Virginia; Trina Golubosky, wife of Lindsey Golubosky, of Bedford; and Sherman Pensyl, married to the former Mindi Straub, of East Freedom.The Pensyls also have nine grandchildren and three greatgrandchildren.The Nov. 2 celebration was hosted by Pam Finke, Trina Goluboskyand Sherman Pensyl.Forms for submitting anniversary notices are available.
