Mr. and Mrs. Martin Plattner. 6107 Artesian ave.. recently heldopen house for 100 guests in celebration of their golden wcd-dins anniversary.The couple have three sons, John H.. of Wilmette; Fred J of Crawford, N.J.. and Thomas A., and a daughter. Ann. who lives at home. There are six grandchildren, one of whom is serving with a medical detachment of an infantry unit overseas.Mr. Planner and his wife were born in Gei many. Me is 72 years olcl and Mrs. Plattner is 09 years old. Employed by the Chicago Surface Tines tor 33 years prior to his retirement in 1942. Mr. Plattner is a member of John B. Sherman lodge. A. F. and A. M.. and Mrs. Plattner belongs to Sherman chapter. Order of the Eastern Star. They were married in Chicago, have lived here ever since and at their present address since 1916.
