IU Hit? IUWU.—Philip Eiehelson is at work this fall bringing water to his house ana farm buildings from a spring some 200 rods from his house. He is one of our progressive farmers, who never does anything by halves. Frank Loehr, a neighbor whose lands borders on Dalton, is another farmer wdth the push wfhich alwrays means success. A town which has farmers of this siamp may feel proud of the acquisition.—William C. Whitney’s road gang under the management of David Mc-Kennedy are still at wrork and unless all signs fail another season will see a direct road built from the Whitney mansion to our depot. In more wrays than one Mr. Whitney is to be of helpto the town.—Charles Crosier is with his daughters at Huntington.—Edward S. Lyman, who works for parties in Huntington, was a caller in town the past week.—A party representing four generations gathered at the home of A. B. Pomeroy and partook of Thanksgiving supper. Other homes ftere made glal by the return and reunion of loved ones. The farmer has cause for giving thanks for a year crowned witk the good things of earth, she has yielded her increase and contentment, happiness and good will should bear sway.
