; Observe 50th anniversaryiMr. and Mrs. Clair McCorkell will observe their golden wedding anniversary at the First Baptist Church on Sunday, December 8. There will be a program in the church auditorium at 2 p.m. followed bya reception in the church basement.I Clair McCorkell and Mable Pike were married December 20, 192-1 at theFirst Congregational church in Sioux City by the Ucv. Joseph Steele.Mr. McCorkell served Akron area residents as rural mail carrier for many years until his retirement.Mr. and Mrs. McCorkell have two daughters, Mrs. Phylis Wilson of Azusa, Calif, and Mrs. Gladys Claroy of Covina, Calif. One'son, Fdward, is deceased. They have 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
