JAMES WAREThe golden wedding of Mr. and Mrs. Janies Ware of Friedens willbe observed Sunday December 9 vhen open house will take place from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. Neighbors, friends and relatives are welcome to visit the couple during these hours at the Ware home.24 grandchildren and 'five great grandchildren, and Mr. and Mrs. Ware are quite pioud of their family-Membeis of the Friedens Lutheran church, Mr. and Mrs. Ware are both 72 years of age and in generally good health. Mr. Ware does some gardening in the summer and when the work is done has some fun fishing, but in the evening and during the cold weather the couple enjoy television; while they have no particularly favorite pi o-rams, spend much time watching the network offerings.Mrs. Ware take.-, care of the housework and ivlax“s with her sewing, working on quilts sometimes and has made any number of plaited rugs. She still enjoys doing some baking, and many times when she knows her family will be honm she prepares the favorite dessert of that special guest.Jt is expected that close to 250 guests will visit the Ware hometo extend felicitations, and decorations have been planned for the home and table, with both Mr. and Mas. Ware having individual flowers to commemorate the occasion. A laige wedding cake has been ordered and will grace the center of the dining table, to be served with other refreshments during the afternoon and evening.Mr. and Mis. Ware are possessors of no special secret for a long and happy married life, but believe ^that by sharing both joy andsorrow a stronger bond is formed.The Rev. George Gross, pastor of the West End church near Fau-hope, perfoi med the marriage ceremony December 12. 1906, when Miss Cora Sarver, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Sarver became the bride of James Ware, son of Mr. and Mrs. Amos Ware, the families both residing at Dividing Ridge. Attendants at the wedding were Mrs. William Emeigh and Artie Sarver, both of whom, anticipate attending the fiftieth wedding anniversary.The couple went to housekeeping at Dividing Ridge, and have lived at their present home in Friedens for the past thirty-five years. Mr. Ware at one time was employed as a rural mail carrier, but later worked as a miner and is now retired.Eleven children were born to the couple, all of whom plan to be home for the festivities. They aie: Mrs. Effie Krause, Edison and Donald Ware, all of York; Mrs. Irene Berkebile, Kantner; Mrs. Myrtle Baird, Toledo, Ohio; Mrs. Nellie KloU, R. D. 5. Somerset; Clyde Ware, Stoystovvn; Harry Ware, Mrs. Anna Menser, Mrs. Marian Zimmerman and Mrs. Dorothy Good, all of Friedens. There areCr]
