L LODGE OFSORROW OF ELKSlt;TRIBUTE IS PAID MEMORY OF DEAD AT SERVICES jSUNDAY.Social Session Wednesday Niglit—K. of C. to Have Big Time December 15.3f'The annual lodge of sorrow, in memory of the fourteen deceased members, was held Sunday by the B. P. O. E. in the Elks hall.The services were private, being for Elks only, and were featured by an address by A. G. Emshwiller. A polished orator and gifted with the use of ornate language, Attorney Emshwiller delivered an impressive eulogy upon the honored dead.The departed brothers whose names are written upon tablets of love and memory are: J. P. Somerville, JamesToohig, John B. Berger, S. W. Cantwell, M. F. Madigan, W. L. Shick, C. R. Mason, A. W. Thornburg, E. C. Shull, H. C. Brannum, C. H. Hoover, Fred Biddle, E J: Gormley, Henry W. Miller.The exercises -were attended by a representative proportion of the lodge membership. Memorial services were held Sunday in common by every Elks lodge throughout the country.Wednesday evening the local lodge will observe guests’ night. On interesting program has been arranged, and there also will be a feast of turkey and guinea with all the embellishments.
