DAVIS Executive Sports EditorGKAMBLING—Fred Hobdy’ bead basketball coach al Grambling State University, feels like his 1975-76 team may be one of Ihe best in the school's history.He starts finding out here tonight.The Tigers tip off th elr season against Dillard University of New Orleans in not only an opener, but the first of five straight home games.Grambling enteriains Wiley (6th, Arkansas-Pinc Bluff lt;9lh), .Tougaloo (10th), and Arkansas-Little Rock (13th) during the remainder of December.The Tigers finished 1G-J0 last year, but Hobdy believes belter things are in store for local followers this season.Wc have the potential to be the best here since Ihe early 1970’s,” said the 19-year veteran who’s posted a lifetime record of 414-131. 'Wve got some new recruits and returning players who could give us a very solid team.Leading a list of five starters oack from a year ago is All-American Larry Wright, a junior guard who averaged over 30 points a game.
