Hall, Nestleton, was the scene of a gala event on Saturday evening. Novem- ' her 29th, when Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Rohrer were honoured j j on the occasion of their 25th 1 wedding anniversary.*, 9Janice Williams, Judy Hart and Brenda Rohrer received the one hundred and fifty guests at the door and the evening was pleasantly spent visiting, reminiscing or dancing to the excellent music provided by Lowrys’ three piece orchestra from Orono.Mr. Gordon Gettins. as master of ceremonies, gave the couple seats of honour and in well chosen words extended i congratulations and made the presentation of a china cabi- t net, silverware (service for C twelve), cups and saucers,] tea set and glasses. Both Mr. 3 I and Mrs. Rohrer expressed * their appreciation.On December 2. 1944, Mildred Mitts and Ivan Rohrer were united in marriage at Mitchell, Ontario, with the reception at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Orland Rohrer. It is interesting to | know that Mildred and Ivan are now the proud owners of] the dishes that were used on i their wedding day (a com- I plete service for twelve), a i gift from his father. Ivan also I i presented his bride of yester- 1 year with a matching set of ? rings (diamond and wedding *'band).The committee in charge; served a delicious lunch and * Mildred and Ivan passed the wedding cake. This concluded i a memorable occasion. Guests i were present from Toronto, « Oshawa, Port Perry.Twenty years ago Mr. and 1 Mrs. Rohrer moved to Cart- 1 wright township and since J that time he has been employed by General Motors, Oshawa.
