On I hat day all her children and grand-! children, with the exception of her •daughter’s family in Nebraska, : 'athered at her home and gave her a surprise dinner. The day was most mjoyahly spent, and for “grandma” I .vere wished happy returns of the lay. She is in reasonably good lealth, and is ablo to attend to all her household duties. Mr. Sanders,, .vho is eighty-five, is very active J oth in body and mind. Following 1 s a short poem which he composed for the occasion:Slt;Tiorsa“An octogenarian, they say I am ’today.’Now what big name I shall have next is bard for me to say.Of one thing I am very sure, my race is nearly run, j: Come and gone now eighty years since I life’s race begun.Today I am reminded I am ranked among the aged;0, how happy I am today, I am in my Shepherd’s fold, 1 iaI Great good to me is promised if in 1 titIkisarratilt;rewi1 • that fold T stay, 1 |n.Kven now a hundred fold, and soon I j n eternal day.■ Now, even now', 1 am resting in my Savior’s love. ,And cherish the well-grounded hope of meeting friends above.! Redemption is my watchwrord, redemption full and free, jI In Christ who is my savior; He boretinthe cross for me.
