Fred and Dorothy MaierDorothy and Fred MaierDorothy and Fred Maier of Matteson celebrated their golden wedding anniversary Nov. 10 at a dinner with family and friends at the Tivoli Restaurant in Chicago Heights.The couple were married Nov. 7,1941, in the Rose-land area of Chicago.He retired in 1982 from Jewel, after 30 years of service He served in the Civilian Conservation Corps and served in the Pacific Theatre during World War II.The former Dorothy Moltrum, she retired in 1981 as a central supply technician at South Suburban Hospital in Hazel Crest.The Maiers are members of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Richton Park and are members of the Rehfelt-Meyers American Legion Post 474 and Auxiliary in MattesonDorothy and Fred Maier in 1941Children of the couple are Judy Kuse of Peotone, Joyce Matusek of Calumet City and Clifford of Fort Meyers, FlaThe couple also have 13 grandchildren and 10 greatgrandchildren.
