Mailer, 47, Hotel Williams, Mar-,ion, were at 2 p. m. today in theGaskins Funeral Home, Harrisburg.The Rev. T. G. Burns officiated. Burial was in Sunset Lawn Cemetery.Mailer was found dead in his car off Rt. 13 about six miles eastof Marion in front of the home of his sister, Mrs. Ann Moake,about 11 a. m. Saturday. A coroner’s jury ruled suicide fromcarbon monoxide. A pipe led from his car’s exhaust pipe intothe car.He was born in Denver, Colo., June 20, 1911, and was reared in Ledford, south of Harrisburg. He worked for the Noah W ilson Funeral Home in Karnak before managing Wilson’s Funeral Home in Marion from 1933 to 1947 whenhe bought the business. He sold itin 1953 to James Wilson and became a real estate agent.Mailer was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, MarionElks, Egyptian Real Estate Assn. and Egyptian Funeral Directors Assn.He leaves a son, Webster of Steaer, mother, Mrs. Pearl Mailer of Harrisburg, sisters, Mrs. JuliaWhitney, Mrs. Betty Motsinger, Mrs. Sada Stearns and Miss Pearl Mailer of Harrisburg, Mrs. Charlene Sever of Greenville and Mrs. Moake, and brother, Joe of St.Louis.
