Harry Verna Gallinger celebratei40th Wedding AnniversaryDennis and Marlene and their families celebrated the exact wedding date with their parents Harry and Vema Gallinger at their home at the farm on the occasion of their 40th Wedding Anniversary, Aug. 21,1988. Guests were received about 1:30 with some 62 friends and relatives signing the guest book, attended by grandson, Derek Gallinger and Holly Brower,-before entering the house to pick up a cold plate dinner, sitting at tables under the tastefully decorated car port. Returning inside, Kaye took pictures of the bridal party beside a beautifully decorated cake made by daughter, Marlene. The remainder of the pictures were taken outside of family members beside the spruce trees. After picture taking, Doug Younger read a most touching poem of past happenings of our 40 years, composed by Elia Younger.Harry and Verna were seated at a decorated card table wherethey opened gifts and presentations.Verna thanked everyone for coming and making thier day so special by their attendance.Friends and relatives attended from Innisfail, Airdrie and Calgary, AB. Killamey, Winnipeg, Harding, Brandon and Rivers and also British Columbia.
