Among them were Daughrey’s two sisters, Blanche Allison of Missouri, Phyllis Cochran of Arizona, and his.two brothers, Floyd, of Palo Alto and Paul, an Oregon resident. The two women are remaining in the Bay Area this week as housegueste of the Daughtreys.The celebrants will further mark their Aug. 26 anniversary the firet part of September when they leave for a two to three-week holiday in Hawaii.The Daughtreys have two other daughters, Debby Paptemiak erf San Jose, Sue, of Castro Valley ana a son, Ernie. Ernie is associated with his fate in Daughtrey’s Department Store and operates the one In Castro Valley. Another store is located in Willows and thereare two budget stores as well, one In each community.Daughtrey and his wife, the former Juanita Caldvwll, had attended grammar school together. They were married In Santa Maria where he was working for the JCPen-ney Co.He was trasferred to Willits to manage a Penney store and later, to the company’s store in San Leandro, The Daughtreys reside in San Leandro.When the department store In Castro Valley was opened, Mrs. Dat#*rey became a htxse wares buyer for a few years, initiating a highly successful selection of fine giftware, She is no longer working. -Daughtrey spentfe his time between his stores and relaidng on the goif course.-They have a large summer home in Arnold where they vacation frequently and entertain their children and six grandchildren. They also have been active in San Leandro Dance Club since its formation.
