Boyden Couple Married 50 Years Ago At HospersMr. and Mrs. John. H. Land-huis will celebrate their golden : wedding anniversary Thursday ' ‘ August 31, at their home in. Boyden.Mr. Landhuis was born in the Netherlands ort November 7, 1868, and Mrs. Landhuis, nee I Johanna Wbertinfe, was born j1 at Zeeland, Mich., on July 5, |1875. They were married onj-August 31, 1894, at the farm ^ J home of her parents, Mr. and {• Mrs. H. Woertink near Hospers. They lived on a farm near Hos-j -pets a few years and in 1898 [ they moved to a farm - near lt;Leota, Minn., and returned to 1 Hospers in 1914 where they -1 lived for five years, then mov-1} ed back to Leota for one year (and in the fall of 192-0 moved to Boyden.They have nine children, (Jennie) Mrs. Arthur Ernisse of Lake Wilson, Minn., Ben Landhuis of Los Angeles, Henry Landhuis of Leota, Minn., Leonard Landhuis of Pasadena, Calif., John D. Landhuis of Boyden, Cornelius Landhuis of Magnolia, Iowa', (Lillian) Mrs. Herman Koerseiman of George, James Landhuis of Los Angeles and (Elizabeth) Mrs. Cornie Koerseiman of Orange City. Two of the children, Cornelius and James, were.-also married on the parents’ wedding anniversary. There are 30 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. All of the children were able to foe home except Ben Landhuis of Los Angeles.Open house will be held from seven till nine in the evening.I]rJsa
