Evansville, Ind., was the scene of a lovely reception on August 12. in honor of her parents, the ABells of Ridgway, 111., the occasion being their 50th wedding anniver sary. Mrs. Bell was the formerStella AkerThe Bells have one other daugh-Miss Shelly Stacy Honored on BirthdavMiss Shelly Stacy, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Stacy of Canton, 111., was honored with a birthday party at the home of her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Frields of Shawneetown Saturday afternoon on the occasion of her first birthday.Refreshments of ice cream and a beautiful “Merry-Go-Round’ birthday cake were served to Mr. and Mrs. Jim Head and children Mike and Robin, Mr. and Mrs. Carroll Crane and son, Benny, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Wenzel, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Frields all of Shawnee town and Mr. and Mrs. Stacy and daughter of Canton.ter, Mrs. Bill Dodson of South Bend. Ind They also have four grandchildren: Tarry Dodson,Y'icki Dodson, Judy Woodward, and Tinda Woodward.The traditional colors of gold and white were used throughout the house. Flowers were yellow mums in gold baskets. Mrs. Bell’s corsage was of yellow carnations. An heirloom lace cloth was used on the dining room table where tali gold candles in crystal holders cast a soft glow on the center piece, a beautiful decorated four tier cake on the base of which was the inscription in gold letters. “ A1 and Stella Bell, 1912-1962.” The white and gold napkins also bore the names A1 and Stella Nieces, Miss Ruby F. Allen and Mrs. Jimmy Rodgers presided at the punch bowl.
