Ushers were Wendell Matthias, Readlyn, cousin of the bride, and Wayne Platte, Bremer.Both Mrs. Westendorf and Mrs. McFarland wore pink carnation corsages with their ensembles. Mrs. Westendorf wore a navy blue dress with white accessories while the bridegroom’s mother was present in a brown ensemble with beige accessories.A reception was held at the f Meadow Brook Country club for 200 guests after the wedding.The couple will leave Aug. 30 for Philadelphia, Pa., where they will be at home at 1414 Vincent Street. McFarland, who attended the' Sumner schools and Luther college at Deeorah, taught in the New Hampton schools and the past year had been teaching at Northridge, Calif.
