Baseball Clown At Frankfort FridayThe Chicago American Giants will have their own “Max Patkin’’ when they meet the Philadelphia Stars in a Negro American league game at West Frankfort Friday night.Ed Hamman, a white man who doubles as traveling secretary for the Chicago Negro team, is a great stunt man in his own right. Bill, Veeck had him in Cleveland to! help entertain the 1948 world series crowd.One of Hamman's best stunts is to field a ground at third base and whip it to first by flipping his arm behind his back. He also is a clever pepper game performer.
