I CROSSING ACCIDENT ,CAUSES DEATH OF FARMERAdolph Zemanek, a prominent farmer of Richland Township, was struck and instantly killed by a Chicago Great Western passenger train this morning at 8 o'clock The accident occurred one mile west of Dundee on what is known as the Barney Aucott railroad crossing. Mr. Zemanek was returning from a trip to the Dundee creamery and was crossing the rail- j road track traveling northward. He was struck by a gasoline motor car, which runs east on the Great Western every morning. Mr. Zemank’s automobile, which he was driving, was apparently squarely on the crossing when struck. The automobile was carried. pinned to the front of the coach, down the track a distance of 700 feet. Mr. Zemanek was thrown out of the driver's seat and when found was In th rear seat of the automobile.Tho distressing accident is a great shock to the friends and acquaint-• ances of Mr. Zemanek. He was a man highly esteemed by all who knew him.I He was a son of Mr. and Mrs Leopold Zemanek, and was born in Rlch-! land township. 41 years ago. He was j unmarried and is survived by a brother and one sister. August Zemanek, of Court land. New York, and Mrs. Kate Kelch. Fullerton. North Dakota At this writing the funeral arrange-1 ments have not been made.
