First Female Seminary.owned by members of the Dummer family.On Wednesday, July 30, the field, day of the parish was observed. The! Rev. Dr. John L. Ewell of Harvard University, Washington, D. C., had charge of the exercises, and delivered an address on ‘‘The Men and Affairs of the Parish.” Following him, the Rev. Dr. Edward Everett Hale of Boston delivered an address. Dr. Ewell is a native of the parish, and Dr. Hale traces his ancestry to families from the parish.
