Ryan was in charge of the guest register.The centerpiece for the lace-covered table in dining room was a mounted gold wedding ring that rose from an artistic arrangement of purple asters, yellow pom-pom chrysanthemums and dainty lavender flowers.The three-tiered wedding cake at one end of table was embossed in golden roses and featured to top tier a bride and groom. The punch bowl filled with golden nectar, was a opposite end.An effective arrangement ofgilded foliage was on the buffet.Mrs. Jean Hilderbrand and Mrs. E. A. McBurnett were in charge of serving the cake, and presiding at the punch service were Mrs. Lindsey Davis and Mrs. Nick McBurnett, Jr. Summer flowers were placed in additional rooms about the home.Guests from out of county were: Mr. and Mrs. L. Sam Houston at San Antonio.VANDALS WASTED CITY'S DWINDLING WATER SUPPLYHereford.—The most senseless crime reported in Texas last week was the opening of a valve at a storage reservoir here, which allowed 200.000 gallons of precious water to run out and be wasted. If a big fire had occurred soon after this incident, it might have been disastrous. Several days of pumping were required to restore the reserve supply.SENILE PATIENTS MOVED BY AIR PLANE TRANSPORTKerrville.—When 350 patientsare moved to the enlarged statehome for the aged here next week, it is planned to bring them by airplane. This method of transport is the most economical way to handle the bedridden old people quickly with the least amount of discomfort.
