Shepard—Jeakies.The wedding of Paul K. Shepard and Miss Marion Jenkins occurred Wednesday night at eight o’clock at the residence of the bride’s mother here in Carlisle The ceremony was performed by Elder Samuel M. Conner, of Indianapolis, formerly pastor of the Carlisle Christian church. Only a few relatives were present at the ceremony, after which a wedding supper was served.The bride is the eldest daughter of Mrs. Ella S. Jenkins, and a beautiful young woman of attractive disposition and charm ing manner, which will win friends wherever she may go. Mr. Shepard is the only son of Mr. and Mrs. Horace J. Shepard, among the most prominent fami lies of Oaktown. and is a gradu ate of the Indianapolis College of Law, class of 1902Mr. and Mrs. Shepard will be at home to their friends after Sept. 15, in Vincennes, where Paul will read law this winter in the law office of Emison Moffett, and later decide on a permanent location for the practice of his profession.—Carlisle News.
