Ruth Moran Barnwell and Ragsdale David Garrison were married August 19, 1951 at First Baptist church in Detroit, Texas.The couple has three children, Mark Garrison and his wife, Pam, of Powderly; Liz Ann and her husband, Keith Burkart, of Cypress; and Jason Garrison of Detroit.They have five grandchildren, Brandi Jones and her husband, Kenneth, of Powderly; Kris Garrison and his wife, Lesley of Granbury; Joshua Garrison of Groton, Connecticut; and Kevin and Rebecca Burkart of Cypress, Texas.They have been blessed with three great-grandchildren, Devin Jones of Powderly, and Layni and Zachary Garrison of Granbury.Ruth worked many years for Texas and New Mexico Power company in Detroit, and David worked for more than 30 years for Texas State Department of Highways and Transportation in Paris. Both enjoy square and round dancing and traveling the United States in their camper.Mr. and Mrs. R. David Garrison Celebrate 50th Wedding Anniversary
