*Luigi’s Dancers Delight AudiencesThe West Virginia Arts and Humanities Council introduced the Luigi jazz dance technique into the Mountain State as a recognized form of art that graduated from the dance hall and Broadway stage to the coficert platform.The Luigi Dan-ce Company of New York Citv, directed bv its founder, Eugene (Luigi) Fac-ciuto, a Steubenville native, was t h e featured eomoany in residence at the 1975 Arts Leadership Conference in four nvijor cities of West Virginia,Ronnie DeMarco, also a S* ^ubenville native, is assistant director of the company, which has received standing ovationsand rave reviews at recent performances in the South and Northeast.THE COMPANY brouaht sparkle and meaning to the cultural art program of the council when it presentedf ^erts at the Charleston rivieCenter and at the Robinson G-and Theater in Clarksbure.In addition, the 10-member company nresented masterclasses and lecture demonstrations for dance students and teachers at Marshall University in Huntington and at WestVirginia University in Morgantown.Attendance at both concerts was more than 1,000.
