Mrs. Marie Martin Of Springfield, O.,Feted at Wall Lake(Times Herald Spun Si»rvlei*WALL LAKE — Members of the Nomsen family had a cooperative picnic dinner at the Otto Nomsen borne Sunday in honor of Mrs. Marie Martin of Springfield, Ohio, Mrs. Martin remained for a few days’ visit and called on her former neighbors and friends. Mr. and Mrs. Nomsen and Mrs. Martin visited in the John Knecht home at Early and called on the Zadow sisters in Odebolt last Monday.Mrs. Howard Brotherton, Kenneth, Kaye, Judy, Janet and Vicki returned from a week’s visit with Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Brotherton at Lake Hubert. Minn., Mr. and Mrs. Charles Brotherton and Amy of Manning also visited at Lake Hubert.Patricia Beese went to Ames to spend two weeks with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Hans Beese.Mr. and Mrs. Joe Downey and family of St. Louis, Mo., spent a week in the Leo Downey and Mrs. Susan Kelly homes.Mr. and Mrs. Joe Dunn entertained at a picnic dinner Sunday in honor of Mrs. Leo Downey’s birthday. All the children were present for the occasion, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Downey and family, of St. Louis, Mo., Mr. and Mrs. Jack Downey and family of Des Moines, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Dunn and family and Tommy Downey.Kenneth Brotherton left f o r Great Lakes where he will attend dental officer training school for three weeks.Rachel and Genevieve Downeyand Mrs. Bernice Phillips of Omaha were guests in the Leo Downey home Saturday.A picnic was held Sunday at the shelter house at Denison Beachfor Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Neilson and family of Dawson, Minn., who were visiting in the Fred Schone-boom home. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Wheeler and family of Breda, Mrs. Emma Schoneboom and Emmeline, Mr, and Mrs. Harvey Wright and Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Wright and family of Auburn, Mrs. Jim Harmon of Marshall, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. Fred Schoneboom and family of Lake View, Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Schoneboom and baby of Sioux City and Peggy Kelly.
