, After three weeks operation, the new Fifth Street Recreational club had run into difficulties today as the result of a police raid Friday night on the club rooms in the basement of the Nick Lianos pool room at 513Fifth street, which resulted infiling of gambling charges against six Defiance men and a charge of knowingly permitting gambling in his rooms, against Lianos.All seven defendants were arraigned before Mayor Joe C. Krutsch this morning.Wilbur Steele. 22. Glen Steele. 31, Gret A. Switzer, 41, George Snider. 23, Loren A. Thieroff. 27, who pleaded not guilty to charges of gambling, had their cases continued uiftil Monday. They were released under $300 bond each. James Steele signed all the bonds.
