Jamit; Me .Meehan 1103 Story stieet, when members of their immediate family celebrated the SOth wedding anni versary of Mr. and Mrs. MeMtvhanDinner at one o'clock wa* served at a prettily appointed table. Small basket* of flowers and lighted tapers graced the end* of the table, while a huge wedding cake, a gift of a close friend of the family, formed the centerpiece.Following the dinner the after noon hours were spent informally.Open house was held dutiug theevening, at which time about one hundred and fifty friends called to extend congratulation* and best wishes. Light refre*hnn nts were served, Mrs. Dennis Schaffnit of Omaha, presiding at the coffee um The room* of the home were attractive with ha kets of flower*, gifts of friend*. Reside these Mr. and Mrs. McMechan received numerous gifts and cakes from their children and friends, many cards of congratulation* coming from friends in this city and nut of town.Mr. and Mrs. McMechan were married at Galesburg, Illinois, August. IS, 1SS6, the Rev. Clark officiating. They came to this city in 1889 where they have resided since. Mr. McMechan being in business here for a number of year* before retiring.Those, attending the dinner and spending the day were Mrs. Flor-eneo Easton, a daughter, and her family of Ames; Janie*.
