I am a retired farmer but still help my nephew with his farm work by driving a truck. The award for the most children was received by Mrs. Evelyn Vincent Zink of Ellinwood. She has 14 children. When the award for the most grandchildren was announced, it was again Mrs. Zink with thirty-four grandchildren — of course she had help from all those children. Mrs. Zink graduated in 1934.The many people who came so very far felt the reunion was well worth their effort and expense. Mrs. Gertrude Weber Maher of Lincoln, Nebraska, had her wish fulfilled by playing organ for the Mass. She had played at St. T's for ten years during the 30s and early 40s.The only regrets expressed by everyone, were “we should have done this sooner,” and the disappointment that many graduates and former students in the Hutchinson and Reno County area were not able to attend. Those coming from California and Washington and New York expected to see the local people.We thank Father John Mullen, without whose generous cooperation all this would not have been possible.LEO SECK Class of 1923 Hutchinson(Note; St. Teresa Grade School started in 1902.
