The day was spent in a social manner, with games, music and singing. At noon a bountiful diner was served. In the afternoon ice cream was served. Mrs?. James Hadley made a brief speech and presented Mr. and Mrs. Worrell Worrell with $20, a dolar for each year of their wedded life.. This was a present from all the guests. Mr. and Mrs. Worrell received many other beautiful presents. Those present from a distance were Mr. and Mrs. Willard Jones, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. MiltonPatterson, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Bailey and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Will Burcham, Mr. and Mrs. Hardin Shumate and Mr. and Mrs. Lotan Shumate and son of Indianapolis; Mrs.Eva Warrick and son, Shiles, and Mr. and Mrs. Sebert Worrell and children of Pittsboro; George Reno and family from near New Winchester.
