lithesis in the agricultural fair.The Old Settlor! at the Agricultural Fair.Connrsville, Ind., Aug. 16, 1862.At a meeting of a committee of the “Old Settlers” and a committee from the Agricultural Society, held for the purpose of perfecting arrangements for holding a Pioneer Celebration at Connersville on the first day of the Fair, Mr. Train Caldwell was called to the chair and A. B. Gates appointed secretary.On motion of Job Stout it was resolved that a dinner be prepared for the Pioneers who shall attend the celebration on thatday.On motion the following committees were appointed to solicit provisions in the several townships:• Jennings—John J. Burk, A. M. Kennedy, John Beck.Jackson—A. T. Beckett, David Piper, Jesse Elliott.Orange—John Spivey, Emanuel Waggoner, John Heed.Harrison—Joseph Caldwell, Calvin Mof-fitt, E. W. Shrader.Posey—Temp. Beeson, John Hlt; Tyner, Aaron Shrader.Waterloo—Thos. Simpson, Jas. M. Sutcliffe, A. G. Smith.Fairview—Hiram Banister, J. G. Lewis, John Moffet.Connersville—Job Stout, Samuel Backhouse, Jos. Minor, A. B. Conweli, Bazil McCann, Thos. Hinkson.The following resolutions were adopted:Resolved, That this meeting request of each committee prompt attention to the duty assigned them, and that they report progress to the Executive Committee, on Thursday, the 28tb inst., at the Fairgrounds.Resolved, That the Times and Union,of Connersville, be requested to publish th°e proceedings of this meeting.Train Caldwell, President.A.
