HONORED ON ANNIVERSARY Mr. and Mrs. L. S. Tarry were, honored with an open house Sunday afternoon, in celebration of their 40th wedding anniversary. Tarry war* honored with an open houae In celebration of their 40th wedding anniversary Sunday afternoon from 2 until 5 p. m., with their two daughters and their daughter-in-law serving as hostesses for the event. The social was held at 406 W. Ave. I.The Tarry* were married In 1928 In Lorenzo, Texas and came immediately to Lovtngton where they have made their home since. The long-time residents have reared their children here, and three of their four children have made their homes In the area.Mrs. J. D. (Frances) Spears of McDonald and Mrs. Donald (Ruby) Petosworth are daughters and L. S. Tarry Jr. Is their son. Their other son is Capt. Kirby B. Tarry, who Is a resident of Honolulu, Hawaii. Heand his family were unable to be here for the open house.Tarry has worked for the city and now dry watches rigs In the oU fields. Mrs. Tarry has served as a music teacher for a number of years until she recently became 111.They are graixfcarents of eleven.Serving table for the occasion was covered with a white lace cloth and centered with a cake decorated with red roses and topped with white wedding bells. Napkins were gold and turquoise. Punch and coffee were served with the cake.Attending and sending gifts to the anniversary party were: Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Harolson of Lubbock, Texas; Mr. and Mrs. J.
