LESLIE PELTIER TO BE HONOREDNational Convention Will GiveOelphos Man HighAwardNEW YORK, Aug. 19.—OJ.R)—Leslie C. Peltier, of Delphos, O.,will be honored Sunday by theNational Convention of AmateurAstronomers for his discovery of six planets.At the concluding session of a two-day convention, Peltier will be awarded an honorary life membership in the Amateur Astronomers Union, an honor conferred 011 only two other persons. The award is in recognition of his “outstanding services to both amateur and professional astronomers.”The only other two honorary membership were awarded to two men now dead: Garrett P. Serviss. i who helped make astronomy popular, and Worcester Reed Warner, maker of many of the world’slargest telescopes.
