In the vicinity of .Miller street, gathered Thursday night at the home of ! Mr. and Mrs. Bert McDonald, where they spent the evening with Mrs. Charles Jackson, and daughter, Elizabeth, of Los Gatos, California. Mrs. Jackson was formerly a resident of that section of ShelbyvUIeMrs. Jackson and her daughter were entertained to dinner yesterday evening by Mr. and Mrs. McDonald, after which about thirty-five of the former neighbors of Mrs. Jackson, called at the house. A very enjoyable evening was spent by the residents of the community. Musical numbers were given by Elizabeth Jackson, Nina Schnaitter, Julia Ann Martz, Garnet Chaffee and Herbert Bassett, and Mrs. McDonald gave a reading. Community singing followed. Refreshments were served during the evening.The guests were Mr. and Mrs. H. L. Martz, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Bassett, Mildred VanOstrnd, Mr. and Mrs. Martin Jones, Mr. and Mrs. James Vannrsdali, Mrs. Ernest Fortune, Mr. snd Mrs. Garnet Chaffee Mrs. B. A. Harding, Mrs. Whetstone.
