Funeral of Fred Hitchcock.The funeral services of the late Fred Hitchcock were held at 2:30 o’clock Tuesday afternoon at the home of Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Titus. The body, in company with the deceased -man’s sister and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Jacobson, arrived from Chicago on the noon train. The sermon was preached by Rev. F. H. Gardner of the Methodist church. A large number of the friends of the family were present. The pal) bearers were. Messrs. C. O. La Shelle, H. L. Sheldon,A. J. McNeil, A. J. Burdick, Julius Whitney and Ed* son Tumbleson. Fred B. Hitchcock was born Aug. 17, 1863, at Canton, 111., and died Aug. 16,1897, aged thirty-f our years lacking one day. He united with the Methodist church at Rantoul in 1884. He was married Nov. 25,1886,to Miss Mattie Titus, who died in Rock FallB Dec. 12, 1895.
