HILLSDALES LOSE TO CRAWFORDSThe Pittsburgh Crawfords bested the Philadelphia Hillsdales in a free-hitting contest last night at Hudson Field in a wild and exciting game that took the Crawfords ten innings to win 10-7.Pittsburgh held the upper hand throughout the game but the Philadelphia team knotted the score in the ninth inning only to have the Crawfords score three more runs in the tenth frame.The Crawfords will return here Monday night in another UfltTfed States league game with the Detroit Giants. By winning last night Pittsburgh retained its slender lead on I first place in the league.
