Ob that day, many of his neighbors and relatives gathered at his residence, four miles east of Logan, to remind him of his 80th birthday anniversary. Each came with a well filled has ket of choice food prepared in the most dainty mode. When the noon hour arrived, a large table was erected in the yard, filled with ail the toothsome viands that the ladies of that company knew would be most relished by those present. There was chicken, pie, cake, pickles, etc , enough for all, and much remaining.Belinda Harden proved to be the champion eater of this occa- -•ion, by the way chicken disappeared from her plate was a caution. After haying eaten at three tables, some began to inquire whst was to be done to make her sensi ble of her own welfareMr. Harsh's children were all present, except oue son, Mr. 8am uel Harsh. The day was spent in social conversation by the older people and in games by the children. It was a day well spent and much enjoyed by all present, and each departed, wishing Grandpa Harsh many more returns of the happy day.Those present who partook of the sumptuous repast, were:Mrs. Eliza O'Hare and daughter Bertha, of Bremen; Mr. andMrs Benjamin Harden, of Hay-denville; Mrs. Henry Allen and sons Orville, Ddlmer and Rudolph, of Logan; Mrs. J. Rider and daughter Oleta, of Rockbridge; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Linton and sous Earl aud Lowell; Mr. and Mrs. SamHansel and sons Claude and Loren ; Mr. and Mrs. Albert Camp bell ; Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Cotter-man, of Rockbridge; Mrs. Mary Hansel, Mrs James 11 ansel.
