Harry D. Shaw Jr.Harry D. Shaw Jr., 87, of the Union Road in Belmont, died Monday morning Aug. 15, 1994, at the Franklin Regional Hospital in Franklin.Mr. Shaw had been employed as a pressman and had worked for The Telegraph for many years and later for The Laconia “Citizen.”Following his retirement from newspaper work, he was employed on a part-time basis with a security firm in the Laconia area and later with Energy North and the R.H. White Co. in security work.Mr. Shaw was a member ofRising Sun Lodge 39 FAM ofNashua for more than 50 years. He also held membership in the National Rifle Association and the American Automobile Association. He was educated in Nashuasch(K)ls.Mr. Shaw was born in Nashua on June 19. 1907, son of the late Harry D. and Dora L. (Hill) Shaw. A resident of Belmont for the past 25 years, he made his home in Nashuawfor the greater part of his life.He married the late Evelyn B.w(Page) Shaw in Nashua on July 27, 1931 The couple resided in Nashua until 1909. Mrs Shaw died in October 1989.Survivors include, a daughter and son-in-law. June L. and Carroll W. White of Merrimack; four grandchildren, David A. White and his wife. Christy, of Merrimack. Peter S. White and his wife, Doreen, of Weare, Linda M. Beale and her husband, Charles, of Essington, Pa., and Erick N. White of Arlington Heights, III.; three great-grandchildren. Timothy D White of Merri-wmack, and ( ora S. and ( avia J. White of Wcarc; a sister, Etta Shaw Tillotson of Moody, Maine; awbrother, Perley Shaw of the Philippine Islands; also several nephews, nieces and cousins.The Farwell Funeral Service,Nashua. is in charge otarrangements.
