POINT STANDINGSSonny Blair, Perk Pace Tar Heel ListRANDLEMAN — Perk Brown looks like he has a pretty safe lead in the modified-sportsman point standings at Tar Heel Speedway, but the hobby division might be in store for a shakeup.Only 34 points separate the first seven drivers in the hobby division. Sonny Blair of H i g h Point has an eight-point bulge over Jim Brewer of Winston-Salem. 138 to 130. Toad Foster, also of Winston-Salem, Is in third place, a mere three points behind Brewer.In the modified-sportsman class, Brown holds an eight-point lead over Eddie Crouse of Richmond. Va. The veteran Spray, N. C. driver leads 148 to 140. Brown has won two feature events over the quarter-mile asphalt track. His only feature loss of the season was to Crouse.This week's Sunday afternoon program will be spiced with a demolition derhy wrecking con- , test. In addition. Tar Heel manager H. C. Stewart has declared it Ladies' Day, with all j the fairer sex being admitted free of charge.’The regular racing program calls for a 40 lap modified-sportsman feature, a 30-lap hobby feature and two 10-lap heat races in each division.Practice starts at 1 o'clockand the first heat race gets under way at 2:30.Tar Heel Speedway, recently reopened under new management and NASCAR sanction, is located on U.
