WBBlMWG ANNIVERSARYr|otMr.«MMr» H*Mry Dm* of No 40 Owmm Stmt Tu**Uy.Tuesday, August Id, a reunion of the Dase family was held at So. 40 German street, this city, in honor of the fifty-i1 sixth anniversary of the marriage of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Duse, and was attended by about twenty-five of the immediate relatives of the family. The occasion was marked with a decided degree of congenially, and those present were brought closer together by ties of love. Old and young partook of the pleasures and merriment of the day to their utmost satisfaction and the day was one that will ever afford a happy recollection for the guests of the hospitable home that always abounds with a welcome for others.At noon a dinner was spread that demonstrated that the good housewife and daughters present had not forgotten their part of the contribution to the reunion. The dinner was a bountiful one and won laurels for those who prepared it, and satisfied those who were fortunate enough to partake of it. All the children were present with the exception of Jacob, of Cincinnati, and Edward of Buffalo, who were unable to attend on account of sickness.Those present were Mr. Philip Dase and three children of Springfield, O., Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Dase and four children, of Springfield, 0., Mr. and Mrs. Charles Dase, of Dennison, Mr. Sylvester Dase and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. G. E. Schoeller, Mr, and Mrs. Frank Hiler and the Misses Anna and Marie Dase of this city.Mr. and Mis. Henry Dase are among Newark's oldest and most highly esteemed citizens, Mr. Dase having cometo Newark from Alsaee-Loraine. Germany, when but ten years old, and Mrs. Dase having come here from Wurten-burg, Germany, when an infant. They have lived here ever since.
