Mackey H.S. class of '57 reunitesOn Saturday afternoon, July 30, the Mackey class of 1957 met at the home of Janice Fulling Wessel near Evansville for an informal gathering with the classmates and their families for their 20th year reunion.At 7 p.m., the classmates and their spouses had a meal at the Ijog Inn at Warrenton.Prizes were given to the following people: most recently married, Marcella Young, youngest child, Randall and Yvonne Block; longest married, Paul and Marcia Couts; longest distance, Jim and Riat Becker; one who lost most hair. Bill Phelps; most children, Darvin and BarbaraHolder; door prizes, Allen Kramer, Judy Gorman, Jean Freudenberg, and Linda Whittington .The following people attended the events: Gerald and Esther Gibbs Heaton, Macomb, 111.; James and Rita Burton Becker and children, Bridgeport, Kan.; Bob and Bette Georges Hunt and children, Poseyville; Judy Bates Gorman, Elberfeld; Joyce Strickland Parke and children, Evansville; Paul and Marcia Couts and children, Oakland City; Darvin and Barbara Holder and children, ELnora; and Bill and Sharon Bell Phelps and son, Mackey.Also Leon and Linda LarsonWhittington and children, Wheeling; Randall and Yvonne Block, Newburgh; Roy and Jean Wehmer Freudenburg, Fort Branch; Marcella Meier Young, Boonville; Ailen and Sandra Kramer, Lamar; and Bob and Janice Fulling Wessel and daughter, Evansville.Those unable to attend are as follows: Stephan and Doris Massey Fleener, Rockville, Md.; Tom and Elveda O’Neal, Arlington Heights, 111; Ronald and Darlene Doemer, Somerville.The next reunion will be held in five years. Paul Couts is president and Bette Hunt is secretary.
