Fondahn will be greeting them at a 50th wedding anniversary reception during the hours 3 to 5 p.m. Aug. 23 in the Fellowship Hail of Central Christian Church.Joseph Fondahn and Miss Lurena Martin of Waitsburg were married Aug. 28, 1920 in the parlor of the local church and have resided in Walla Walla their entire married life. They have lived in their home at 736 Pleasant Street for the past 38 years. They have three children, seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.Fondahn retired several years ago after 32 years as salesman for Morrison Supply Company. Prior to this he was employed by Machinery and Draper Company for 13 years.Hosts for the reception are the coupie's sons and daughter and their families: Mr. and Mrs. Robert D. Fondahn. Washington. D.C.: Mr. and Mrs. Wayne M. Fondahn and Mr. and Mrs. George H. (Pauline) Patterson of Walla Walla. The honor couple requests there be no gifts.
