Winners4FIRST AND SECOND prizewinners in a style show Friday for teenagers who have beenmaking their own dresses in summer sewing classes were Carol Johnson Uef-t of 537 Clarence and Jayne Sullivan of 715 South Elmwood. Carol’s dress is of red and white checked tissue gingham,with scalloped neckline, gathered shoulders and an insert of red material in vertical scalloped line at the front of the full skirt. Javne’s dress, of dark red andlt;s 'black checked rayon material is a tailored type, set off by blackscarf, beh and buttons.The girls displayed their dresses at a style show* held at the Singer Sewing machine school. 1038 Lake.They have been enrolled in classesfor teenagers there during the summer months. Carol, the winner here, was to go to the Chicago area competition sponsored by the Singer firm at the Palmer House on Tuesday of this week.Winner of the third prize at the local competition was Suzanne Loebig, of Chicago. Also modeling in the show, attended by their mothers and friends, were 34 other girls from the villages and adjoining towns. The clothes displayed included a playsuit, cotton dresses for summer and for school, a wool suit $nd even one formal.
