Father Stanley.The Union received a communication yesterday about the celebration ofUncle Thomas Stanley's 8)5 rd birthday at the farm of J. D. Watson near Me-rom, August G. The interesting letter came a little too ite for this week, but it will appear in next week's issue. The Union takes great pleasure in extending to Father Stanley congratulations upon the attainment of his ripe age and we trust many more years will be shared this good old man. We also take much pleasure in quoting to Uncle Tommy the words of that great man of his name, the African explorer, Henry Stanley, that ugray hairs are the gift of time.,5, He who lives to wear them may indeed be proud.
