Negro Boy KillsBrother With Gunutlhlilt;■oMarion Gabel, negro, aged (5, was instantly killed late Tuesday afternoon by his brother, Dave, aged 8, at their home about three miles northwest of town. The two boys and a small sister were left alone at home by their mother. Information secured by officers indicate that the kill- 1ing was an accident. When question-?*4 ed the boy said he pointed the gun at j c his brother and said: “I am going to; ' shoot you.” and pulled the trigger. | *1 His brother fell to the floor with the top of his head torn away by the load of shot. Davy said he did not know the gun was loaded.After Dave killed his brother he hid the gun, and attempted to drag the body to a pasture near the home. He had dragged the body about seventy-five yards when a negro man, who lives with the Gabels, returned home. The boy said he was going to hide the body in the pasture so his mother would not see it. He had also attempted to remove blood fromthe floor.ffOfficers from Sherman were called to the scene of the tragedy, and, after making investigation, decided the killing was an accident, but instructed the mother of the boy to take him to Shreman Thursday to bequestioned by the county juvenileofficer.
