Badly Mixed. The following notice appeared in a recent issue of the Indianapolis Sun:“Mary Tate, an American girl in Germany, died a short time ago. Her last wish was to be laid out upon her piano, as she was very fond of music. After the ceremony, the strings were taken out, the legs were removed and she was buried in the instrument.”Connersville people may recognize this distorted item as referring to the late Mary Tate who died in Connersville, and the facts of the peculiar case were plainly stated at that time. Miss Tate was a fine woman, kind and gentle hearted, and only these little eccentricities served to give her a notoriety that was entirely harmless.
