LoealitesAt PartySwimming and a buffet on Sunday at die Burlingame home of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth M. Hower Sr. marked the fifty-seventh wedding anniversary of the host’s parents. Mr. and Mrs. Cieve S. Hower of Burlingame.The guests of honor, pioneer Peninsula residents, were married here on August 10, 1907. Mrs. Hower was born in Martinez and’ moved to San Mateo when she was one year old; her husband was bom in Ohio and moved to San Mateo in 1903. A former contractor, he was also a member of the state board of equalization.On hand for Sunday's festivities were two of the Howers sons and their families: Mr.and Mrs. William Hower of San Mateo and Barbara Lou and Nancy Hower and Mr. and Mrs. John Hower of Saratoga and Carla and Wendy Hower.Lee Hower, son of the Ralph Howers of Las Vegas, has been visiting his grandparents andrepresented his side of the family. The Walter Howers •and their son, John, were in Clear Lake over the weekend. Young John Hower, a member of his father’s Jiggs Hower Water Ski Team, won up both the men’s challenge title andboys’ open crown while the team won the Northern California Water Ski championship.The host and hostess’ sons, David and Kenneth Hower Jr., were present to give felicitations as were Kenneth’s wife and child, K. G. Cleve Hower’s niece, Mrs. Robert Schrieber and her daughter, Susan, came from their home in Canton, Ohio, for the party. They were joined by Mrs. Schriber’s son, Ralph, who is stationed at the Presidio.The hostess' parents. Mr. and Mrs. David Pike of Burlingame rounded out the group.The guests of honor also have a daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Gui-liksen and a grandson, Eric, who could not attend.
