Taylor's Carries Complete Line of Dairy ProductsThe business now known as Taylor’s Dairy, 112 East Michigan, was first formed in 1922 by Mr. and JVlrs. Fred Gardner and was then called Marshall Home Dairy.In 1926, the dairy was purchased by Alvin E. and Edward A. Taylor. Then in 1928, Edward Taylor and his wife, Nettie, bought the interest of Alvin Taylor.Shortly after the death of Edward Taylor in 1937, the butter business was discontinued, and the retail and wholesale dairy business was started. At that time, the firm’s name was changed to Taylor’s Dairy.The business has since been carried on by Mrs. Taylor, with the help of her sons, Alvin E., Douglas and Wendal Taylor, and George Weberling.The dairy has been in its same location since 1922, and currentlythere are five men and one woman employed.
