——— - - * - - -Hunting burg Couple Observes AnniversaryThe children of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin A. Bledsoe of Huntingburg are honoring their parents with a Golden Wedding celebration on Sunday, Aug. 16, in the United Methodist Church in Huntingburg from 2 to 4 p.m.Mrs. Bledsoe is the former Revella Harris of Huntingburg and Mr. Bledsoe is a native of Cuzco.They are the parents of nine children, six sons and three daughters, of which three are deceased.All six sons were members of the armed forces. Two who had served with the U.S. Marines, Arnold and Donald, are now deceased, as is a daughter, Mrs. Anne Blackwell.The other children are James E. of Indianapolis; Winston of Springfield, Mo.; Richard of Orlando, Fla.; Mrs. Kay Wilgus of Shelbyville, and Mrs. Judith Turley and Blythe, both of Santa Anna, Claif. They also have 22 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.Mr. Bledsoe is active in the scouting program. He presently is a Boy Scout leader and also works in the scouting program in the Southern Indiana area. He has been awarded the Silver Beaver Award for his work in scouting. He is a charter member of the Tell City Optimist Club.All relatives and friends of the couple are invited to the reception. No other invitation will be extended.
