The Rex Garrisons Mark Golden Anniversary MereMr. and Mrs. Rex Garrison of 81 Kmgwood Sr. celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary ! Saturday.Except for the past two years, Mr. and Mrs. Garrison spent their entire married life at Core where they are members of the Dolts Run Christian Church.Mr. Garrison was bom near Core, a son of the late Norman and Julia Etta Barrickman Garrison. He married Sarah Leora Shively, daughter of the late Bradford and Rosena Weaver Shively, on Aug. 8. 1914 in the Madera Hotel in MorgantownThe Rev. Campbell Jobes performed the ceremony.Mr. and Mrs. Garrison are the parents of one daughter,| Aileen, now Mrs. Merrill P. Keener of Altoona, Pa.They have two granddaughters, Mrs. Robert Houston o f Fredericktown, Pa. and Mrs. Karl R. Davis of Horseheads, N. Y. There are also two greatgrandchildren, Roberta Houston and Robert Davis.A family dinner honoring the Garrisons took place in the Hotel Morgan and the couple also received many congratulatory notes and cards.
